SOLACE IN SECLUSION 

This piece arose from a lyric from a song my son wrote, about the way an addict becomes more and more isolated and shut down. I cast this in solid bronze as the very heavy weight is intrinsic to the piece. It invites the viewer to be pick it up and hold it in the hand to feel the weight of the burden of addiction.

THE HEALER

This piece was made a few years after my sons death when I began to feel myself mending. I made it to help the loneliness of the Solace in Seclusion figure that depicted the isolation of addiction - introducing another human offering warmth and friendship.
